This is Kyle Graham, Alyssa's step-brother. He's yet another darling OC of mine and he previously featured in a picture with Alyssa and Mariana ([link]).

Despite the lack of color, I finally finished this picture! *happy dance*

For those of you who don’t remember or don’t know, I originally posted this picture in a less completed form than the picture of Alyssa used to be. The background was nonexistent except for a few vertical and horizontal lines stretching across the page as markers for the doorway, but I wanted to know your opinion before I continued. XD And since I got such lovely feedback, I went ahead and fought off procrastination (among other things) to produce the finished result. And yes… it IS finished. I left the background without color because I thought it looked better that way. If you think I should color it, please do let me know and I’ll add a touch.

Note: I’ll update this when I finish filling out the missing parts of Kyle’s bio. Although it is a tad lengthy already, I left out a few categories during the first draft of it. ^_^’ So, keep an eye out for an update, alright?

Here’s his bio for you:
Age: 17

Born: He was born in Fresno County, California and grew up there until his father met Alyssa’s mother and they moved to live in Ohio with them around the time of the wedding.

Sexual Preference: He’s secretly gay, but is less open to sharing that with others because he’s unsure of how they’ll take it. He’s very good at hiding it, though. He’d be satisfied with a guy he can share a mutual understanding with.

Family: He’s very close with his step-sister Alyssa as if they were biological siblings and their mutual trust exposes any and all secrets to each other which will be kept strictly between them. Kyle’s relationship with his father has never been all that strong – it’s pleasant, but awkward for him – mostly because Kyle knows his father isn’t all that supportive of any other sexuality than “straight”. That’s why he hasn’t told anyone aside from his step-sister about himself yet. Even though his step-mother isn’t as critical as his father, he still doesn’t feel comfortable telling her. He keeps his step-sister from letting their secrets slip and he’s very protective of her as she is of him.

Although he never knew what happened to his biological mom, he holds the firm belief that his father is lying to him about her walking out on them after he was born. He personally thinks his dad kicked her out for some inexplicable reason. The truth of the matter – a secret his father has been keeping from him for all the years he’s been alive – is the reason his mother truly did walk out on them. When his mother found out she was pregnant with him, she wanted an abortion. Kyle’s father tried to convince her to scrap the idea because the doctor said there were no complications that would require an abortion. Eventually, Kyle’s mother got fed up and issued an ultimatum: if he made her go through with the pregnancy, she’d leave. Kyle’s father agreed to those terms, hoping that she’d change her mind further into it, but she left shortly after Kyle was born, so they separated and they never heard from her again after that. Kyle’s father truly did love her, but he wouldn’t have been able to live with himself if he let Kyle’s mother take away one of the greatest things in his life. Unfortunately, Kyle has never pursued the question of what really happened further than “she left” and his father doesn’t intend on telling him either way until he’s absolutely sure Kyle’s ready to hear it.

Personality: He presents himself with the perfect “cool guy” attitude without trying. His “new kid” status makes it easier for him to go around without being bothered by the masses. He’s more reserved about sharing anything personal with people partially because the only people he really knows are his step-sister and the people she hangs out with. Because of that, he tends to give off a mysterious air that girls generally find attractive. Taking that for granted, he pretends to be a lady’s man, even though he never dates anyone, in order to cover up his “secret”.

He backs his step-sister up on everything she does and is supportive of both her hobby and her “open-mindedness”. He looks out for her around school and works to make sure her open-ness about her sexuality doesn’t provoke the wrong response from the wrong people. He’s constantly getting her out of trouble and verifying her alibis whenever she gets in trouble with teachers or ends up in guidance.

He believes certain levels of the “food chain” his step-sister keeps talking about should be tweaked and speaks up only when absolutely necessary. When he does, people generally listen to him and back off. On the occasion that they don’t, he is willing to fight in order to protect the ones he cares about. He doesn’t like to be violent, but he’s capable when pushed to it.

Appearance: He has casual messy blonde hair and green eyes. He’s well-built with subtle muscles and he’s 5 foot 8.
Fashion Sense: He wears his regular “Sunday best” – dress shirt, dress pants, and dress shoes. The only accessories he wears with that are a thick belt, a bolo tie, and a bangle his step-sister gave him as a “welcome to the family” present. On the few occasions he does volunteer to assist Alyssa with her videos, she talks him into wearing the outfits she picks out for him that pertain to the music video she is currently working on – e.g. themes and styles such as Michael Jackson, Alice In Wonderland, Steampunk, and Adam Lambert – though, to his relief, they incorporate his personal style, so he doesn’t feel too out of his element when wearing them.
Cliques: He isn’t really in any clubs or sports yet, so he can’t be officially labeled that way. Right now, he’s been classed with the cool kids, but that’s because he’s the mysterious new kid. He’s more of a drifter, but he makes the rare appearance in his step-sister’s music videos only when she begs him long enough to help her.

Aspiration: Although he isn’t sure of what he wants to do yet, he’s been considering modeling or acting of some form.
