Hailey sketch

This is a sketch of my cloud fey bab that I adopted from Solarfox123. I named her Hailey and she’s # 8 on this sheet: solarfox123.deviantart.com/art…

I drew a full body sketch of her with her hair covering her eyes so you could get a general idea of what she looks like. And I threw in a headshot so you could see her face better without her hair in the way. The idea I was trying to go for in my sketch was that her hair and the trim on her dress are actually cloud vapor, so I tried to make it as fluffy and cotton-candy-like as clouds look. Also, her little pom-pom hair buns on the top of her head are mini clouds that detached from the main mass of her hair. It was incredibly difficult getting the image in my head onto the paper. Ugh, so stressful. But I’m still proud of my little cloud bab! >3<

I really loved her design when I saw it and I have so many wonderful ideas for her~ The description that came with her on the adopt sheet was this: Floating from cloud to cloud is how this peace-loving Fey goes through her life; despite her love of peace, she is always drawn to the Earth below, to violent areas of erupting volcanoes and shaking faults. What could this mean...? Doesn’t she sound just delightful? ^_^ I do have a story in mind for her, so we will see exactly where I decide to go with that. Heheh…

I feel like her clouds (hair and dress trim) would change with her mood. So, they’d be white and fluffy when she’s in a good, neutral, or peaceful mood. And they’d get dark and grey when she’s sad or angry, in which case they’d rain when she cries and/or spit out lightning and thunder when she’s upset. Of course, if her hair/dress rains enough, the clouds will probably dissipate eventually, so she’d be bald for a while. XD And as for the clouds that make up parts of her dress, it wouldn’t matter if those dissipated until she could “replenish” them because, when her outfit isn’t a dress, it’s like a jumpsuit sort of thing. I’ll have to draw some more references to show you what I mean about her different moods. But that’s for another day.
